Speaking of eBay...

eBay is one of the greatest sources to find parts. Search for "project guitar" or "guitar parts" and you'll find hundreds of junky guitar parts.

To thin that search down, I tack the word "lot" into the search terms. You'll find a handfull of listings that have a bunch of odd parts in one listing. Find something interesting in one of those listings, keep what you want and resell the rest (or start your own parts bucket).

Another way to thin things down is to search for all parts that currently list at $1 or less. I've gotten lots of stuff this way. Just be ready to bid on a bunch of items and lose at the last minute. If you win, cool, you got some parts for a buck. Beware of folks that start a listing for cheap with $250 shipping charges (seen that before and almost got shafted).
